New announcement on Ireland's National Revalution Programme

Following a postponement of various revaluations in Ireland, the Valuation Office has recently made a further announcement on the national revaluation programme. This will affect properties located within the following council areas:

• Clare
• Donegal
• Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown
• Galway City & County Council
• Kerry
• Mayo

Proposed Valuation Certificates are expected to start being issued in the next 2-3 weeks with a 40-day period for Representations to be made from date of issue. The Final Valuation Certificates will be issued in September 2023 and the new rate charges will become effective from 1 January 2024. The key valuation consideration is the change of the valuation date from 15 September 2019 to 1 February 2022.
