The Government has confirmed it is freezing the business rates multipliers in 2022/23 and laid the necessary legislation (the Local Government Finance Act 1988 (Business rates Rating Multipliers) (England) (No. 2) Order 2021. Following the approval by the House of Commons on 10th February 2022 of the Local Government Finance Report (England) 2022/2023, the Secretary of State has calculated the business rates rating multipliers for England for 2022/2023. Details on the business rates rating multiplier and the small business business rates rating multiplier for England for 2022/2023 are: • business rates rating multiplier 51.2p (0.512) • small business business rates rating multiplier 49.9p (0.499)
